Cricket Without Boundaries ("CWB") is a UK charity set up to encourage the spread and growth of cricket and to link the sport to AIDS awareness.

Since 2005, CWB has reached over 4000 children in Africa. We incorporate AIDS awareness into our coaching. However, awareness is not just about prevention, it is also about inclusion; a child with HIV is no different to any other. Sport, in particular cricket, helps break down the stigma of the disease and allows children of all races and sexes to play together as friends.

CWB’s model aims at sustainability; we have trained 420 adults as cricket coaches, leaving them with an internationally-recognised qualification and the equipment to continue to train their community.

What does CWB use its money for? Our biggest expense is equipment and associated transportation. Our administration costs are very low so almost every penny we raise goes towards funding projects. We are currently working on projects in Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda

SO......why are we after your donations?

In November we are both off to Kenya on a Cricket Without Boundaries Project. Alexia is on a few months sabbatical between finishing her job at Loughborough University and starting at Brighton College in the New Year and Simon is using his annual leave in order for them both to work on this project.

We need to raise £1500 pounds towards the cost of the project which includes equipment, transportation etc. It is certain to be a tough challenge and wonderful experience so please give whatever you can to help the Cricket Without Boundaries project.
