Cardiac Risk in the Young Verified by JustGiving
RCN 1050845 (England & Wales), SC052581 (Scotland)
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Why CRY:

CRY is close to a lot of Zibrant staff's hearts, a very close friend passed away in 2010 following a sudden cardiac arrest, aged just 26 and with no previous condition detected. Nothing can, or will ever, replace Sarah Gamble but CRY were there for her family at this tough time.

This is our chance to continue the support, to enable CRY to continue and to carry out more preventative measures ion the future.

Our Objective:

To raise £8,500 with £5,000 going to research and existing support and £3,500 to host a screening day for 100 young people in Derby. Screening for one person costs £35. Hopefully saving lives in the process.
