On the 31st of January myself, James Higgins and Darren Coleman will be braving the lovely british winter to complete the Helly Hansen Adventure Challenge for charity.

My chosen charity for this event is the NSPCC. The NSPCC is an organisation whos aim is to protect children from cruelty, support vulnerable families, campaign for changes to the law and raise awareness about abuse. "The NSPCC is inspired by a belief that we can make a difference for all children – by standing up for their rights, by listening to them, by helping them when they need us and by making them safe. for more information please visit the following website http://www.nspcc.org.uk/

The Helly Hansen Adventure Challenge Series is a team-adventure journey that will involve off-road running, mountain biking and kayak canoeing. There will also be some special extra challenges thrown in for good measure!

How far... How long?

As a general guide we can expect to run or jog for about 10km. That's between 6 and 7 miles in old money.

We'll cover up to 25 km of mountain biking and possibly up to 1.5km of kayak canoeing but don’t think it is just as simple as this. The three of us have no idea what order the activities will be in and don't know what the 'extra'challenges will involve...!!!
