British 10K London Run 2013 · 14 July 2013 ·

The Food Chain exists to ensure that poor nutrition does not compromise the health prospects of people living with HIV in London. We help people get well, stay well and lead independent lives through crisis grocery deliveries, cookery classes, communal lunches and specialist dietetic advice.

Story

On Sunday 14th July I will be running 10k in central London to raise money for the Food Chain. Some of you may know I've been volunteering for them for the last few months, and been really struck by what a difference the Sunday meal service makes to people.

Food Chain provides meals and nutritional advice to people with HIV who are either very sick or living in poverty, and its such an important service- run on a shoestring by a small charity with very few staff and hundreds of volunteers who plan, prepare, pack and then deliver hundreds of meals every Sunday.

Your help and support is appreciated, particularly as its 6 years since I did any kind of distance run, and its through central London, so the potential for embarassment is great.
