Martin House Children's Hospice provides vital care to help children and young people with a life-limiting condition, along with their families, to live well and fully, offering the best possible end of life care and support to the family in bereavement.

Story

I work on the care-team at Martin House Children's Hospice http://www.martinhouse.org.uk/ (please look, it's a great website). We've recently been able to purchase a new bed and a new cot, for which we are very very grateful. However, we'd like to buy more new beds which will help us continue to meet the needs of the children and young people who stay with us.

I can't quite explain why, because it doesn't make much sense even to me, but I've decided to try to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in March 2013 http://www.classictours.co.uk/Challenges/OpenChallenge.aspx?ChallengeID=744 . I'm paying the costs of the trip myself, and want to raise funds towards helping us buy more beds. I don't expect anyone to just give me money without getting something for it so I'm hoping to thank you all for your donations by baking lots of cupcakes.

If you'd rather donate by cash or cheque, please just make cheques payable to Martin House, or pop cash in a labelled envelope and I'll pass it on.
