I am so pleased to be supporting the eden project -through money raised on this JustGiving page and fundraised cash- as my chosen charity for the Great Warwick Jump 2010. I can't even bear thinking about jumping off a helicopter into thin air with an instructor strapped to my back falling at high speed before pulling the parachute out at lower altitude and finally hitting hard ground. The skydive is a great opportunity for me not only to live a thrilling experience but also to support a charity that I personnaly feel very strongly about. I visited the Eden Project in my A2 year with the school and was very impressed with the sustainable environment that they displayed, developed and protected. The educational workshops gave an insight into ways for sustainability in a fun and interactive manner for both children and adults. The talks given by the Eden Project not only gave us some ground understanding of what sustainable development is, how it could be achieved and why it is necessary; but it also gave the students the opportunity to ask questions to approachable, interested people who cared so much about the cause they support. Perhaps because I was involved in setting up a Green Committee at my school at the time, I felt more interested in the workshops, exhibitons and displays on offer. I believe that the Eden Project has something for everyone and it could not serve more perfectly it's fudamental and primary goal of being an educational project. The project offers insight into what I believe to be the most pressing concern, for all generations, in a fun, friendly and unoppressive atmosphere.

 

Each £10 you donate to the Eden Project fund will provide:

• £7.50 to save 1 tonne of carbon through on the ground energy and pollution control projects
• A minimum of £1.50 to be dedicated to education projects
• A maximum of £1 to cover administration costs
