Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I will be running the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.
I will run 13.1 miles through central London on Sunday 11 October to help support the 456,000 people living with epilepsy in the UK. I will be running for my brother, Sam, who has been affected by Epilepsy for almost 20 years. Sam is 25 and has had epilepsy since he was seven years old. He also has autism and learning difficulties and requires round-the-clock care. He is very sporty and an important member of his football team. I am extremely proud of my brother and constantly impressed by his determination.
I hope to raise awareness of epilepsy and sponsorship money for a cause that is important to me and my family. I'm really looking forward to the atmosphere on the day – the feeling of achievement afterwards will be brilliant!
Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, I will join 15,000 runners, winding our way through the landscapes of St. James's Park, Green Park and Kensington Gardens past iconic landmarks including Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.
I would be extremely grateful for any sponsorship as it will provide me with the motivation and determination to complete the course. No donation is too small!!!
Thanks again. Alice x
