A huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and all the kind words (and strange looks!)
Following illness and a doctor's ban on exercise my marathon challenge was postponed. However, this delay gave way to a wonderful experience...........
My final long run ended to fireworks in the night sky. Some may say it was bonfire night, I prefer to think it was my neighbours marking the end of 125 miles.
I have run through rain, hail, sun and freezing fog and all in the name of a fantastic charity. Thank you all once again for the support and sponsorship. Roll on the next event.

My marathon (per week) challenge.
As some of you know I love running but during one of my sessions I came up with a challenge that I thought, at the time, was a great way to help raise money for the Civil Service Benevolent Fund (CSBF).
I decided to run 125 miles in four weeks to mark 125 years of the CSBF providing help and advice to current and retired civil servants during times of hardship.
That’s just under five marathons in 28 days.
Please support this marathon challenge by sponsoring me, I promise it will help me keep putting one foot in front of the other as I try to keep on target for achieving the 125 miles. Knowing you’re behind me come rain (hopefully not too much) or shine will push me to pull on the trainers and pound the pavements and if you see me on the road looking worn out you know it’s all in a good cause – that’s what I’ll be telling myself any way.
