Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This charity I’m raising money for is:

TOGETHER FOR SHORT LIVES

They champion and campaign for children’s palliative care services and professionals to help children get the best support possible.

They support so many including the seriously ill children, including the families of the children and more.

The charity helps in so many different ways and makes such a massive difference please look them up and see the good they do.

About me

I’m Shannon Barnes

18 years old and a semi finalist for miss teen Great Britain, I entered to push every boundary of mine to show everyone nothing should stop you achieving or dreaming.

I’ve struggled all my life with autism a silent disability which is so many times misinterpreted.

For me going outdoors and trying to live a normal life is so difficult so attempting this challenge for me will be a massive achievement and all for an amazing charity.

I hope you support me along the way,

I’m climbing on the 6th of June 2020 with plenty of coverage so come along please to help me reach the top.

Please come and support in any way you can if autism or together for short lives has ever affected your life or someone you know or just because my story has inspired you.

A cheer or a shout out would really be appreciated and help me along my journey.

I’ve never walked up a mountain before and struggle just leaving the house, speaking to people and attending crowded places so attending college and putting myself in the miss teen Great Britain competition has been my biggest achievement so far.  I’ve come along way and hope to inspire others to do the same.. by gaining media coverage and showing others nothing should hold you back.

My lovely sister who is 15 will be joining me on the way up to the summit of pen y fan whom after several operations can now walk she too is a huge inspiration and such a character.

Please give any thing to help please really no amount is too small and every bit will help

As I’m studying child care, and hoping to be a primary school teacher all of these steps will show children of the future that I hope to teach nothing holds you back.

A huge inspirational message I think.
