Brighton Marathon 2014 · 6 April 2014 ·

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

If not now, then when?!

For some time, I have been thinking about whether I would ever run a marathon...I have run three half marathons over the past 18 months and walked two. Yet still, something held me back from committing to running one.

Then, news from a friend reminded me that life is precious and unpredictable, that sometimes you have to seize the day and make the most of doing things while you are well and healthy. We can often do so much more than we believe is possible!

I'm running for MIND in memory of my brother-in-law, Roger, who died 12 years ago. I care deeply about mental health and MIND do great work to raise awareness, provide support and educate to reduce stigma.

I'm especially delighted to be running with my fantastic friend Flora, one of the fittest people I know!

I'd love you to sponsor me for this great cause, if you're able to. Thank you so much for your support.
