Great River Race · 7 September 2013

The Serco Foundation works with charities to help them realise their ambitions and achieve even more. Through our global initiative, ‘Every Child Everywhere’, and with the help of our employees, we are committed to playing our part in helping to give children the best start in life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page to raise money for the Serco Foundation and local UK charity Whizz-Kidz.

On Saturday, 7 September I'll be joining my Serco colleagues in a bell boat (like a big canoe) to paddle 21 MILES up the Thames in the 2013 Great River Race. The race starts downriver in Docklands (near Canary Wharf) and we will paddle under Tower Bridge, and then under many more bridges before finally finishing  about 4 hours later in Ham (Richmond). I guess that is why they call it 'London's River Marathon'.

As many of you know I have a real fear of being on the water so this is a really big challenge for me!
