Steps is the leading charity working for all those whose lives are affected by childhood lower limb conditions. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting individuals, families and carers affected by conditions which have an impact on the legs, hips or feet.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Steps is a small charity that supports adults and children affected by lower limb disorders.  Our youngest son Saul was born with bilateral talipes which is sometimes known as clubfoot.  It meant that at just 3 days old he had both legs put in plaster from toe to thigh.  He has had a few operations including a tendon release at 4 months old and a tendon transfer at the age of 4.

Steps has been a great help and support.  They have put us in touch with other families who are experiencing the same difficulties and are always on the end of the phone for help and advice.

Saul still has ongoing problems at the age of 9, despite being a very determined character who plays football and rugby and it is a relief to have the reassurance and support of Steps.  This is my first marathon and it's a scary thought, however, in the back of my mind all I need to picture is Saul struggling to move at the age of 4 with a leg in plaster and a tiny zimmer frame and that will give me the motivation I need.

Please help me by supporting this fantastic charity.  Any donation you can give will be gratefully received.
