Details below.</p> <p>140 staff, parents, students, and friends of St. George's school are coming together on 21st April 2012 to run, ride, walk, or stagger 10 metres for every serviceman killed or wounded in action in Afghanistan over the last 7 years. The MoD figure for casualties at the end of 2011 was 2209, meaning we will be doing a course of 22.09km.</p> <p>Latest news: we will be joined on our run by up to 20 paratroopers from 201 (Herts &amp; Beds Yeomanry) Parachute Battery, Royal Artillery (Volunteers). Their Boss, Major Jon Searle, says they will be doing the route with packs, and reckon on a pace of 10 miles in 1 hour 50 mins.
