Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In January 2007 my wonderful little girl was diagnosed with the rare disorder 'Dancing Eye Syndrome', otherwise known as Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome. Over the course of 2 weeks she changed from a very happy, healthy little girl into a child who could no longer walk, feed herself or sit up independently. Her little body shook constantly and her eyes moved uncontrollably making it impossible for her to focus. However, she is a little fighter and has never given up in her battle to overcome the many challenges it has presented. She is my inspiration for walking the West Highland Way. I will begin on 4th April and walk 96 miles over the course of 5 days.

All donations will be given to the Dancing Eye Syndrome Support Trust who support families of children with DES through family contact, an annual weekend break and helping to fund essential research into this little understood condition.

Any donation you can make will be so gratefully received. Thank you.
