Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have seen the work that Ugandaid do in partnership with the Nile Vocational Institute, first hand. Ugandaid raise sponsorship for young vulnerable people in Uganda, to fund vocational education at the Nile Vocational Institute. I was given the opportunity to spend some time with NVI students and was very inspired by their courage and positivity in the face of hardship. Young people in Uganda face many difficulties due to poverty and disease. It is estimated that nearly half the population is under 14 years of age and many are orphaned due to Aids and Malaria. For many young people education beyond primary school is just a dream. Nile Vocational Institute facilitate that dream and transform the lives of young people with a loving and nurturing ethos.

Ashton Sixth Form College have agreed to sponsor two students, for their 3 year vocational programme. Susan aged 18 is studying Nursery Nursing and Mohammed 18 is studying electronics.

I would very much like to contribute to fund raising efforts and I really believe that this is a very worthy cause indeed. Dig deep. Thanks.
