I am walking from John O'Groats to Lands End starting on the 1st June 2017. I will be averaging 100 miles a week and plan to complete the walk in 11 weeks. I decided to use the walk to  raise funds for Alzheimer's society as my mam developed  vascular dementia  two years ago and I have watched the difficulties that this causes on a day to day basis. It has been a difficult decision to take a break from caring for my mam but it has been helped by having other family members who are going to support her while I am wandering the countryside.
