2017 Ikano Robin Hood Mini Marathon, 24 Sep 2017 · 24 September 2017 ·

We're raising money for the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre at The University of Nottingham to create a brighter future for children with brain tumours.

Story

On Sunday 24th September, the University is aiming to support a team of 500 runners drawn from our staff, students, alumni and friends as they run the Robin Hood Mini, Half or Full Marathon.

I personally will be doing the Mini Marathon as not being a runner even this is a challenge for me. Hoping to beat my time from 3 years ago. So please donate and help me support he ground-breaking work of the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre during its 20th anniversary year.

Over the past 6 years, Nottingham Life Cycle has raised over £2.3 million for life-changing research and student support here at the University.

Each year, hundreds of children and their families are faced with the terrifying diagnosis of a brain tumour.

For the past 20 years, our researchers and clinicians at our Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC) have been at the forefront of leading-edge research. They have worked tirelessly to improve diagnosis, treatment and awareness, saving the lives of thousands of children around the world, as well as here in Nottingham.

Together, we can create a brighter future for children with brain tumours – developing effective, targeted treatments that not only save lives, but give those receiving them the best chance to fully recover and live life to the full.
