*** STOP PRESS *** Alison & James completed the Bath Half in a time of 2 hours 22 minutes and 18 seconds. Alison said, "It was enjoyable and difficult in equal parts, and I feel very proud to have finished it and raised so much money. It was a beautiful day in Bath, very cold which made it difficult to warm up, but once underway it was fine. All the training definitely paid off as we didn't stop to walk once, but it was definitely a relief to finish. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported us because it was the thought of all the money we raised which kept us going."

Alison and James are running the Bath Half Marathon to raise money for the Wessex Neurological Centre and their Smile4Rich campaign. In August 2009 Alison's mum was admitted to the neurological centre and a day later fell into a coma and was rushed into intensive care.

Alison recalls, "It was the brilliant work of the staff in the unit which saved her life and diagnosed her condition, and she was released from hospital in September. We are running the marathon to raise money so other people can be helped the same way, and to say thank you.
