Hi

My name is Alison and I am married with 2 little children. I am running the Great South Run to raise money for Cancer Research as I would love to help to find a cure for this horrible disease. I have lost so many people to cancer and I would love my children to grow up knowing if they get this disease there will be a permanent cure. My ultimate dream would be to help find a way to get rid of cancer completely but I know it is only a dream.

I was introduced to the disease when I was only 11 and I lost my Nan to cancer. My Auntie Margaret and Uncle Graham are both fighting cancer at the moment and I have recently lost another Uncle to cancer.
