Fred Whitton Challenge 2014 · 11 May 2014 ·

We care for patients with a range of needs including symptom management, rehabilitation as well as end of life care. Our goal is to provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for our patients and their loved ones in a calm, peaceful and welcoming environment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The Saddleback Fred Whitton Challenge is in memory of the Lakes Road Club racing secretary who died of cancer aged just 50. The event takes place in May every year over a course in the Lake District covering 112 miles (180 km) and over 9,000 feet (3,000m) of ascent including the brutal Hardknott & Wrynose Passes.

Okay, so I've done a bit of bike riding but this has got me questioning whether it really was a good idea to raise that arm and say "Yep, I'm in" when it was originally discussed.

I am raising funds along with my Carse of Gowrie Velo team for St Andrew's Hospice in Lanarkshire.
