My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am giving up an hour of my Christmas day to run 10k for Harrogate Homeless Project. This is a small sacrifice to support this local charity.

Harrogate Homeless Project relys on the support of the local community for donations to keep the project running.  As the only direct access homless hostel in Harrogate and the surronding area, HHP mission is to provide emergency overnight accommodation for adults and support them in finding permanent and stable accommodation. HHP aims to treat individuals with dignity, impartiality and respect, meeting the basic physical needs of warmth, shelter and food. Equally importantly HHP provide empathy and understanding, in a caring and supportive environment.

Giving up an hour of Christmas day to run 10k is a small sacrifice in support of this deserving yet little known charity, please support Harrogate Homless Project through me in these final 11 days leading up to Christmas day.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Charity Registration No. 1011337

The Harrogate Homeless Project is the only direct access hostel in Harrogate and the District, providing emergency accommodation and support for those who are homeless. Only 65% of our running costs are met through statutory funding and other grants, so we constantly need to raise money in order to continue.
