Fundraising for Go Help
Story
On July 10th of this year, Matt and Paul will be driving from London to the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar... a total of nearly 16,000 kms!
Why do we want to drive all this way (one third of the way around the world in fact) over mountains, across deserts and through countries where a pot holed beat up dirt track can easily pass as the main and only link between towns? Well, the initial instigator was a desire to go on the mother of all road trips, to leave the comfort of Europe, to experience some of the less well-known countries of this amazing planet. Since then however, these forthcoming adventures have taken a back seat to the fact that we have the chance to really help our organisers, Mongolia Charity Rallies and their partnered charity, Go Help.Go Help is a UK based charity who will distribute ALL the money we raise towards community projects in Mongolia. In the past, these projects have included construction of the Ulaanbaatar Child Centre and establishing the National Rehabilitation and Education Centre for Disabled Children in Mongolia.
We would also like to point out that all of the £2,000 we aim to raise via Just Giving will go directly to Go Help and not to our team expenses or Uzbeki beer funds!
On top of this, when we arrive in Mongolia, Go Help and Charity Rallies will put the vehicle we drive up for auction with the money raised added to this charity pot. Alternatively, the vehicle will be donated whole to Go Help where it will be used for orphanages or hospitals.
