Mike, one of my team, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease just over a year ago.  In this time Mike's condition has deteriorated rapidly yet his positive attitude and determination to fight the disease is ever strong.  Since Mike's diagnosis, the MNDA have provided first class care, support and guidance to Mike and his wife Jo and so we've made MNDA our functional charity of the year.  We'd like to raise as much money as possible to enable MNDA to help Mike and the many other sufferers of MND.   It was Mike that suggested an abseil event at our super new HQ in Bham.  To be honest, I was hoping that the health and safety people would say 'no chance' and therefore we would do something less frightening but to my surprise - they said yes!  The world has gone mad!

Therefore on Friday 28th June, with Mike & Jo in attendance, a group of us will be abseiling the 10 floors at HSBC UK, 1 Centenary Square.  Those who know me know that I'm not an adrenalin junky and somewhat of a sedentary adult so please wish me luck - better still, please do make a donation to this fantastic cause.  Thank you; Allan.
