Thank you for visiting The Alliott Group – London Marathon page.

The Alliott Group from South Africa will be represented by a 3 member team from Alliott Andersen Nell Inc from Cape Town. Our team comprises: Kobus Nell, Marié Nell and Ken Andersen. We were to have a fourth team member, namely Mark McGowan from RW Irish – Alliott Incorporated in Gauteng, but unfortunately an unexpected knee operation prevented him from participating!

When we found out last year that the Alliott Group are the Auditors for the London Marathon we immediately set about trying to secure our entries for this extremely sought after event. Our grateful thanks to Richard Hopes from Alliotts, for making our dream to participate come true. 

Even though we are all seasoned runners - having completed many half marathons - this will be the first full marathon for Ken Andersen and Marié Nell. Kobus Nell has taken part in many marathons as well as the Iron Man and Cape Epic Mountain Bike Race to mention only two.

As a team we decided that we would like some charitable good to come from our endeavour. To this end we decided to run in support of the Red Cross Children’s Hospital Trust in South Africa (www.childrenshospitaltrust.org.za).
