Fight for Sight - Oakwood Eyecare, Alvaston Opticians, Kimberley Opticians · 27 April 2016

Imagine being told that you, or someone you love, is losing their sight. In that moment, two profound questions demand urgent answers: Can this be stopped? How will I live my life? We fund the brilliant minds and bright ideas, putting change in sight for everyone impacted by vision loss.

Story

For every new on-line appointment booking we receive in 2016 via our websites we are donating at least 10p to Fight For Sight.

Despite having had paperless patient records for some years now, the majority of our patients are still receiving reminders and other patient communication from us by post. In response to this, we have recently launched “MySight”, a live online booking system.

Unlike just requesting an appointment, this system puts the desired booking directly into our diary. It is easy for anyone to use and after the booking has been made, our staff can confirm the booking when we’re next open and link it to the existing patient records.

You don’t even have to be an existing patient to make one of these appointments, anyone can just following the simple instructions on our website.

To encourage patients to do this, all 3 of our practices (Oakwood Eyecare, Alvaston Opticians and Kimberley Opticians) have pledged to support “Fight for Sight” the eye research charity. We will donate at least 10p for every new patient who registers for MySight then attends their eye examination in 2016.

To book an appointment at any of our 3 practices please follow the following link - www.oakwoodeyecare.mysight.uk.
