Twilight Walk 2019 · 6 April 2019 ·

The annual LOROS Twilight Walk brings over 2,000 Leicester ladies together for a 10k walk around the city centre

Story

On the 25th of February 2018, a lot of people’s lifes changed forever when Leah Reek was tragically taken away from us in an explosion on Hinckley road in Leicester. Along with her boyfriend Shane, his brother Sean there mum Mary.

Leah was the most amazing, gorgeous and bubbly girl. Leah’s smile would light up the whole room and her infectious laugh would make everyone smile. Leah was so motivated to help others, she was such a naturally caring person, in her short time on this earth Leah impacted so many people’s life’s for the better. Leah was studying Health and social care at Loughborough college, and had recently got an unconditional offer for Adult Nursing at De Montfort university. Leah volunteered at LOROS and made such an impact on everyone she met, I will be doing the LOROS Twillight walk again this year in memory of such a gorgeous girl.

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.

Sleep tight, Forever young Leah Loo xx
