Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Update. I had to pull out of the organised Just Walk event on the Sussex Downs (7th May) due to 'flu. Never one to give up, though, I will still be walking 20km for Parkinson's UK. My Solo Walk will take place on Sunday 10th July on the North Hampshire Downs.

I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's about a year ago. As yet, my symptoms are mild and I am confident that I will make it to the end of the course!

Parkinson's is a complex neurological condition that has diverse symptoms, centring around the ability to direct physical movement. While it is usually associated with older people (over the age of 50), it does also occur in younger people, too. Further information is available here.

Parkinson's UK will use your donation to help people with Parkinson's in a number of ways, including research into the cause, prevention and cure of Parkinson's; providing information and advice; educating health professionals; and campaigning for high quality support, care, treatment and research to benefit people with Parkinson's and their carers.

If you are interested in how I have been affected, you may wish to visit my blog.

-------------------------------

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
