Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I felt inspired and moved by the work that ERASE have been doing to support the Fulakunda Orphanage in Gambia and wanted to do something to help. I have a passion for yoga, so I thought a Yogathon would be a great and fun way of raising money for them. Please carry on reading to find out more about the day.

Fulakunda Orphanage in Gambia & the Little Angels Orphanage in South Africa

Led by some of UK’s most innovative yoga teachers, Pablo Imani & Howard Napper, the African Orphanage Yogathon 2014 promises to be a treat for enthusiasts and beginners alike. The day will be filled with live African music, fun and laughter.  So, come along, do some yoga, have fun and raise money for a great cause all at the same time!

  • Each session will be 2 hours long and led by a different teacher.
  • You can choose to stay for the whole day or pop in for a few hours and come back later on in the day - but you will need to pay another £20.00 donation for re-entry.
  • Free registration if you raise £100.00 or more in sponsorship
  • Yoga mats and water will be provided
  • Talking of giving, how about bringing some vegetarian/vegan food to share with your fellow yogis on the day? Plates and cutlery will be provided.

Getting Sponsored

Fancy more of a challenge? Why not get your friends, family or work colleagues to sponsor you? For people to sponsor you on the Just Giving website - you will need to have an active fundraising page to join the team, so if you don’t have one you’ll need to set that up first. Your page can then be listed on Yogathon team page and whatever you raise on your page will contribute towards the team’s target.

Once you've created your fundraising page, go to the team’s landing page, and click link to 'Join the team'. You'll be asked to confirm that you'd like to add your page to the team.

For more information on joining a team, you can visit the Just Giving help area: http://just.ly/Join-Team

If you're having problems joining the team, please let the Just Giving team know the email address you used to create your fundraising page, as well as the link to the team page and they can join your page up for you.

If you prefer to use the more traditional way, the sponsorship form can be downloaded by visiting:
