It's probably no surprise that I am running yet another marathon. I want to raise some money for Target Ovarian Cancer, particularly as this month is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. Target Ovarian Cancer is the national ovarian cancer charity working to save lives and help women diagnosed live their lives to the full, wherever they are in the UK.

Last month I went to the funeral of Audrey, someone I knew since I was a child. We grew up on the same road and went to the same secondary school. Just over a year ago she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, and last month she lost her battle and died. The reality of how precious and short life can be, really hit me with Audreys death. She always had the attitude to fight, so to lose her life so young was really tragic.

In some way I want to try to ensure that others like Audrey get the opportunity to live life to  the full, despite being ill. This is exactly what Audrey did. Target Ovarian Cancer offers help & support to women who are diagnosed. It is a really worthy cause so please give what you can.
