I'm running the Manchester 10k in memory of Lucas Garrity, I met Lucas and his family through my job at Jodrell Bank where I last saw him as a happy, healthy 6 year old, running around with his brother and my two children. Tragically, not long after his 7th birthday he died last year from an aggressive, inoperable brainstorm tumour.  Lucas was a brave, cheerful little boy who never lost his big beautiful smile despite his illness and I want to remember him, whilst supporting the charity that continues to work so hard to find a cure for the brain tumour that Lucas suffered with and supports families such as the Garritys.
