Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 9 July 2010 I was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer.  So aggressive that I have been given months to live. That was so difficult to comprehend when Deane and I were told the most devastating news anyone could ever be told.  This first thing I thought of were my two babies, age 4 and 18 months. I could not believe I may never see them grow up and each achieve their special milestones in their lives.  It breaks my heart to think Deane and I may never get the chance to do all the things we planned for our lives together in the future. It's been hard to get our heads round all of this, but we are going to fight this and we remain strong and that is due to the strength we receive from our family and wonderful friends.

So, as one of my many "Things to do's" in life, I've decided to hold a 36th birthday party, but rather than receiving gifts, I'd be exrtremely happy if you donated a little money to Cancer Research.  Unfortunately we have not established my primary cancer (where it has started from) but we do know it has spread to the liver and possibly the lung (secondary).  Hopefully chemotherapy which I currently receive will reduce the size of the tumors or hopefully stop them from growing. I feel it is important to donate to Cancer Research as all donations are vital to allow the researchers to hopefully one day find the cure for Cancer - and I really do hope that cure is discovered when I am still here.

Please don't feel pressured into using this website to donate.  You can stick some dosh in a card and take it with you on the night of the party.  I'm really looking forward to spending time with my friends and family and us all having a great time.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
