I'm taking part in Race for Life on 8th June for the first time, as part of a team - Breast Friends.

For those of you who know me well you probably never imagined that I would take part in such an event; but to be honest I didnt think that my family would ever be impacted by Cancer in this way.

On 29th January 2014 my sister in law Kirstie (who is only 37) was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since this date she has undergone 2 major operations, and is now preparing herself for further treatment.

Kistie is a fighter, and her and my brother have both shown an amazing amount of bravery at what is the worst time of their lives.

Kirstie would do anything for her friends, so it's now our time to show our support for her and to help raise awareness about this disease.

We all have one dream and that is to find a cure, so please donate what ever you can to enable Cancer Research to continue with their great work and to help them help people like Kirstie.
