On Sunday 19th September I will (reluctantly) be taking part in a 3 mile “fun” run in aid of a charity called Breast Friends Solihull. For those of you who know me well, I don’t “do” walking so this is a massive thing for me!!
This charity is very close to my heart as my sister-in-law, Amanda Lowe passed away last year from breast cancer, she was also heavily involved in the running of Breast Friends.
Breast Friends Solihull, welcomes both National Health and Private Sector patients who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The group helps local ladies from the initial diagnosis, when much seems frightening and unknown, all through treatment and recovery. There are a number of ways in which Breast Friends helps ladies for example, domestic help for patients undergoing treatment, childcare and help with the purchase of wigs and prostheses to name but a few. www.breastfriends-solihull.org.uk
