Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Mental health is greatly misunderstood by many people. Depression never used to be something that was treated, or something you had because you had to just get on with it. It's not that simple though is it.
So many people suffer in silence and not only that, 1 in 4 people who ask for help can wait 3 months before even speaking to a counsellor.
Getting out of bed can be a huge battle for some people which is why I'm taking part in Run Every Day January 2017 - to raise awareness and hopefully inspire others.
Exercise is one of the most effective ways to improve your mental health. Regular exercise can have a positive impact on depression and anxiety, amongst other things. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better, and boosts overall mood.
