Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My wonderful brother Matt died on June 29th this year from SUDEP. The term Sudden Unexpected (Unexplained) Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) refers to the unexpected death of a person with epilepsy, who was otherwise healthy, and for whom no other cause of death can be found. Between 500 and 1,000 people with epilepsy die of SUDEP in the UK each year.
So after 23 years of not running, I have decided to run the Birmingham half marathon.
He was an incredible man, lived life to the full, he never worried about the things he couldn't do he just enjoyed the things he could. He loved his golf. and West Brom and loved people. Matt knew everyone wherever we went, he has left the family with a wonderful legacy his daughter Charlotte who is 14.
The more money raised for Epilepsy Research UK the more hope other families have of not going through what we have. I take comfort in being able to help, even if just a little.
Matt you are in my heart all the time, I miss you so much x
