Brighton Marathon 2012 · 15 April 2012 ·

Imagine being told your toddler you thought was healthy, but perhaps slow to progress, in fact had a rare and devastating disability that would leave them needing lifelong 24/7 care. Rett syndrome changes lives irrevocably. With your support Rett UK is there from the beginning. #ToKnowHerIsToLoveHer

Story

I'm running the Brighton Marathon, my first (and most likely only!) marathon, for Rett UK. This is the main UK charity for Rett Syndrome. They're a small charity, but do important work in supporting families with children and adults with Rett Syndrome, and are especially valuable to those who are recently diagnosed or have no other support from family or friends.

I know times are tough all round, but please try and donate a little to help them continue their important work! We personally are very grateful to them for helping us through the difficult early stages of dealing with Molly's condition, and for providing a hub for information, resources and contacts to be shared amongst those affected.

Thanks!

Amanda
