Story
As some of you might already know when Amber was born she had a few complications that led to her being rushed to the Intensive Care Unit in St Michael’s Hospital. We had to fight to keep her in Bristol as they didn’t have enough cots in the ICU and she nearly ended up an hour away in another hospital. As it was, we had sleepless nights constantly walking from one ward to another (for feeding and tests) and cannot imagine how we would have coped with her in another city hospital.
Some amazingly attentive and caring midwives nursed Amber for three days and nights until she was thrown out of the Intensive Care Unit for being too rowdy (that’s my girl!). After two weeks in hospital she was well enough to come home and we have time to reflect.
This is why we are now asking all our friends to donate towards more cots and the continued support of the life-saving work of the Special Care Unit. If everyone donated the price of one drink (or more) from my Facebook then we would have a substantial amount of wonga to give to the department… so just donate!
Thank you in advance. xx
