I AM..

I am battered and bruised, beaten black and blue. Is the world blind, can they not see me?

I scream, I shout, I call out for help. Is everyone deaf, can they not hear me?

I stand firm but blow after blow just shatters my bones!

My mouth is dry from thirst but instead of water I taste blood!

I am bound, shackled and locked within these walls, my brothers and sisters open your eyes and hear my cries!

I long to be free, please pause for a while, think how long you'd last?

I want freedom, I want justice, I'm not asking for more than what's rightfully mine!

Oh people of the world, please wake up, UNITE to free me!

I AM PALESTINE!

After watching the horrors unfolding in Palestine, I felt so much pain that it compelled me to write the upon poem and boycott supermarkets and products linked to this horror. However writing and boycotting isn't enough, what people of Gaza need is our prayers, our commitment to take action and willingness to go the extra mile! I will be climbing Mount Snowdon on 13th Sept 2014 to raise much needed funds for the people of Gaza who have seen their homes destroyed, their children brutally killed, their entire families wiped out! We can't sit back and do nothing; please my dear friends help me to help them by sponsoring me with as little or as much as you can by donating through just giving.
