Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.

I'm fundraising for the Kenyan Orphan Project, a charity based in Kisumu in Kenya which supports orphans and vulnerable children through projects such as schools, health & feeding centres and shelters for street children. 

I have been raising money all year through the KOP student programme (100% of which goes straight to the projects - admin costs are sourced elsewhere) and then in August I travelled to Kenya to see where the money has been going, help out at the projects and meet some of the children who are supported by them. Meeting these kids was the most inspiring thing ever. They have been through so much at such a young age; many have lost parents due to HIV which has a very high prevalence in Kisumu, lots were living on the street fending for themselves without food or shelter. Now at the projects they recieve nutrition, protection, access to education and the chance to enjoy childhood again. Despite their difficult pasts, the children I saw were smiling and ambitious for the future.
