Story

Hi everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm taking part in the London to Paris bike ride on 18th-22nd June 2015.  The challenge involves cycling a lovely 500km in 4 days (80 miles a day, 458,000 revolutions!) to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia.

Leukaemia is a cancer of the blood that usually begins in the bone marrow.  It can affect anyone at any age, and Cure Leukaemia has been fighting back for more than ten years.  Around 12,000 people die from blood cancers in Britain each year.  The prospect of survival for many adults with the disease is still less than 50%, which is exactly why your support is so vital and valuable. All the money raised helps to improve the lives of the 30,000 people diagnosed with a blood cancer each year in the UK.

It means a lot to me to be taking part in this cycle for Cure Leukaemia as my Mum's sister Michele died from Leukaemia aged 16 and her Dad Garry died from Leukaemia aged 56.
