Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!!

I’m doing the Carrots NightWalk for Fight For Sight, the largest charity in the UK funding eye research, dressed as a pirate carrot.

There are approximately 285 million people worldwide living with sight loss, out of which 39 million are blind – many are irreversibly so. In the UK alone, there are almost 2 million people suffering some degree of sight loss, which has a massive impact of every aspect of their lives – home, school, work and family.

Fight For Sight have been funding vital medical eye research at academic institutions and hospitals across the UK since 1965. They relying entirely on voluntary donations to fund research on eye diseases such as macular degeneration, glacoma, cataract as well as childhood blindness and rare eye diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa. Not only to understand what is going wrong but more importantly, to help understand how to fix it!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. It’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now!!! :D
