Thanks for taking the time to visit this page in memory of Amparo Moseley.

As you may be aware Amparo unfortunately passed away suddenly at 6.10 PM on Wednesday 21st September 2011. She had only been unwell for a matter of 3 days with undiagnosed bowel cancer and passed peacefully whilst sedated with Nick at her side in Whipps Cross Hospital.

Her Funeral will be held on Friday 7th September 2011. Those who wish to attend will leave from Nicks House in Chingford at just after 10.30am, arriving at City Of London Cemetery & Crematorium, Manor Park, London E12 5DQ at 11.30am for the funeral.

Anyone who knew Amparo would have known her to be a warm giving person, full of life and ready to share it with anyone. I personally often thought how funny it was that her actions of giving were so much in contradiction with her words. Two stories I remember bore this out. The first was when she invited a Jehovah’s Witness into her house for tea and biscuit only to spend the next hour telling him why his religion was crazy and unholy, leading to him wanting to escape his ever more forthright host. The second happened on one of her many trips to Liverpool Street with her beloved husband Freddie. On this occasion as she exited Liverpool street station there was a beggar by the entrance, Amparo asked Freddie for a pound and offered it to the man sitting on the floor but only if he got off his lazy backside and got a job. Needless to say the man promised and got his pound finding as most of us did that arguing with Paro once very time consuming and well pointless.

I like so many will miss her as a friend who when asked for advice often told you what you needed to hear even if it was not what you wanted to hear and for that I loved and respected her.

I have set this page up for Nick and the family for people to make a donation in lieu of flowers. Amparo suffered latterly with a form of Macular degeneration and Moorefield’s were a god send to her, saving her from almost certain loss of eyesight.
