Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

On the 9th of June 2012 I am taking part in the Eton Youth and Junior open water triathlon, this consists of a 400m swim in a lake followed by a 10km bike ride and then a 2.5km run. I am doing this in memory of my Nan and other family members and friends who have all died from cancer in recent years.

I am raising money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Nurses.

The nurses provide care to terminally ill patients in their own homes or in hospices, whilst offering support to their families. They were a great help to my Nan, Granddad , Mum and Aunty during my Nan’s illness.

My Nan was very special to me and was always ready to help and support me in everything that I wanted to do.I am doing this in her memory and I know she will be looking down on me on the day and cheering me on to the finish line .

Anything that you can spare will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way to supporting the nurses in the amazing care that they give.
