Story
I signed up to run the Bupa Great Birmingham Run earlier this year in an act of drunken spontaneity! Race day is fast approaching and I have been training for the last few months to make sure I get a respectable time on the day. I'm the first to admit that I'm not this fittest of people, but I'm getting there slowly.
My Mum was diagnosed with the debilitating illness Multiple Sclerosis 11 years ago and it has changed her life dramatically. To help to raise money for the brilliant charity MS Research I will be running the 13.1 mile course.
MS is a neurological condition which affects around 100,000 people in the UK and at the moment there is no known cure. Lots more research is needed to improve the lives of those living with MS.
So dig deep, it's for a great cause :)
