My story
Welcome, welcome one and all!
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page. Clearly it shows that you are thinking about sponsoring my marathon running efforts which is brilliant! It would be even more brilliant if you now clicked on the DONATE button above and pledged some of your hard earned cash to Independent Age!
I've been working at Independent Age since October 2011 and have seen with my own beady eyes the amazing work this special organisation is doing to help older people across the UK. Whatever you can afford to donate will be put to really good use so please, dig deep and help me smash my £1,200 target to bits!
As most of you know this is my second marathon. Again, as most of you know, the first one in 2010 was a bit of a disaster but Jo and I did get around in the end and now have challenged ourselves to right some wrongs and do this thing with style! Well, I say style, I mean without stopping over 20 times.
Sadly we'll all be old one day and Independent Age will be here to help us deal with whatever life throws, so think of your Grannies and Grandaddies and how much they'd think you're lovely if you gave money to this fantastic cause.
Thank you so much for getting involved and if you'd like to see this 'style' in action then come along to Mile 20 and join the fan club who will be getting drunk in the sunshine from 11am.
