Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Welllllll, they say that with age comes wisdom. Pah, I say! No such motto in my book! And with that in mind I took on my next sporting challenge - the London Marathon on the 17th.

I managed to complete the race in 4:14...which wasn't bad for SUCH a hot day! Plenty of people didn't quite bank on such temps (including me!) and so it was a bit more of a slog than I thought it would be! But its done now...the medal is 'pride of place' , the aching limbs have nearly gone - and now there is just the pride of having completed the 26.2 miles that will stay with me forever!

Thanks for sponsoring me...

This year I have been lucky enough to get a place via the ballot which means I have been able to choose the charity I raise money for. I met Shelterbox at a cruise show last year (random I know)..and this is who I am raising money for.

Shelterbox, a Cornish based company, are a disaster relief charity sending out family sized disaster tents, cooking equipment, ground sheets, and water containers..and even activity packs for kids all in a big durable 'Shelterbox'.

They have just sent boxes to New Zealand, Bolivia, Peru and of course Japan.

I know there are thousands of charities and so many demands on your money, but it would mean a lot if you could spare a few pounds for this worthwhile charity...and of course it will help me plod the miles! Each box costs just £590..so it would be great if I can raise enough money for 3!

If you want to come and cheer me and 35,000 other runners on at the marathon that would be awesome too...there's nothing better than a familiar face going bonkers when they see someone they know!

So..there we have it. There are only a few more 'looong runs' to do and then the big day arrives! 'Come on Sharpie - you can do it!...now that IS one of the mottos in my book!

Thank you for supporting in anyway you can,
