On the 15 May 2010 I am taking part in a skydive.
This is something I have always wanted to do, and I'm so glad to have the opportunity to actually do it! Big thank you to Stu! He's the one who made it possible!
I didn't just want to do a skydive, I wanted a reason to do it, I wanted to do it for charity. So I'm raising money for is the Children's Chronic Arthritis Association (CCAA).
This is because, as some of you may or may not know, I have Juvenille Idoipathic Arthritis (JIA),which is basically a form of arthritis found in children. What the charity does is provide support for families who have children with arthritis.
The CCAA is run by parents and professionals and they provide help and information for families affected by JIA. They aim to raise more awareness of childhood arthritis steering aware from the idea that it's just an old person's disease.
Every year the charity organises an activity filled weekend for children and families dealing with the effects of JIA. Over three days they offer informative sessions and fun activities for both the children and the parents. I could blabber on for ages about the charity and the great work they do. It is a charity very close to my heart and there are some amazing people involved with it.
So... if you could sponser me for this skydive, I would be truly grateful, even if it's only 50p, however much you can give would be amazing!
Please, please, please sponser me, it's for a great cause! If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me.
Thank you, Amy : )
