Story
So what started as a joke between my Dad and me has now turned into a serious challenge. Wouldn't it be fantastic to run every day of 2014?! This got me to thinking - why not do it for charity? And better yet, a local charity.
In the last couple of years I have become increasingly aware of the amazing work that Mary Steven's Hospice do. They have supported several of my friends through difficult times in their lives, and I admire their work.
I have set a couple of ground rules - minimum run time is 20 minutes (approx 2.2 miles for me) and every run will be recorded on my Garmin software. Most runs will be longer and some runs will be much longer - I am hoping to complete a 20 mile run in March for starters. But 20 mins is the absolute minimum!!
Any support that you can give would be gratefully received - just the thought of raising money for this fantastic cause will help to get me out of bed and running in some seriously wet and windy conditions. And I invite people to come run with me as much as possible, this would be some extra motivation. I have already kick-started the year with a very muddy 4 miles (01.01.2014)
