Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Our sister in law was recently diagnosed with adencarcinoma of the cervix. This is a really rare form of cervical cancer that isn't detected by your usual smear test. Sarah knew something wasn’t right and kept going back to the doctors despite being told some strange advice. Fortunately, Sarah’s cancer was detected and she's had a successful operation to remove it and is recovering well.
We're hoping to raise a little bit of money from our challenge but more importantly we're hoping to raise awareness that having a smear is really important and if something isn’t right 'down below' then get it checked out!
I've been cycling for about a year but generally I only do 40km so the hills of Woburn will push the legs a little further than usual. Mia hasn't ridden a bike in 6 years so completing the cycletta will be a real achievement – she’s even bought some padded shorts so she’s taking it seriously!
I'm sure you've used JustGiving before but it is really simple and fast to donate and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So all that stuff is covered.
Help to give us that extra boost we need when peddling and donate a few pennies to Macmillan!
