Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

Onthe 26th of March my world fell apart.  My younger brother died suddenly, no warning his heart just stopped.  Robert suffered from a form of muscular dystrophy called mytonic dystrophy, its a genetic condition you are and generally gets worse as you get older. Unfortunately Robert was born with a severe form which effected is mobility abd speech but he was very much a happy little boy.  Full of fun and super inquisitve and keen to learn.  His determination got him up on his feet and walking around (something they said he would never do!) We were so proud of him and his accomplishments, we adored him.  His death was so very sudden, he was getting redy for bed, collapsed had a fit and was gone.  He was just 7 years old.

Now as his 16th birthday aproaches I want to do something for him to celebrate his short life and I cant think of anything better than raising as much as I can to help fund research/ a cure, just something so that other families dont have to go through this.

Please give whatever you can spare, anything is greatly appreciated. Wish me luck!!! xxx
